Who is responsible
FerryGoGo B.V., Jufferstraat 3, 3701 AD Zeist, Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 76706060, is the controller for any personal data processed through this website. You can reach us at info@ferrygogo.com.
What we process
Analytics. With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 to record which pages are visited, how visitors reach the site, approximate location at city level, and general device and browser information. This is used in aggregate and not to identify individuals.
The analytics library is not loaded at all before you consent. If you decline, no request is made to Google and no data, including your IP address, is transmitted. Google processes IP addresses to derive approximate location and then discards them; we do not have access to them.
Server logs. This site is hosted by Netlify, which records standard technical information about each request, including IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting. Retention is governed by Netlify’s own policy; we do not keep a separate copy.
Email. If you write to us, we keep your message and address for as long as needed to answer it and for up to 24 months afterwards, so that we can follow up on a correction. Email addresses are not added to any mailing list and are not shared.
We do not run accounts, newsletters, contact forms, comment sections or advertising networks on this site.
Third parties
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited), only after consent. See Google’s own privacy documentation for how they process the data.
- Netlify, which hosts the site and keeps technical logs.
- Map tiles. The route map on the comparison page loads its background imagery from CARTO, using OpenStreetMap data. Delivering those images makes your IP address visible to CARTO. CARTO sets no cookies here.
- Google Maps. The navigation block on the port pages loads a map from Google. It loads only after you consent, or when you select the button on the map itself, and it sends your IP address to Google and can set Google cookies.
- Stay22 and Ferryhopper, which supply the accommodation maps, the departure search and the partner link script. All three load only after consent. When the accommodation map loads, Stay22 also loads services of its own, including Hotjar and Sentry.
- Booking partners. When you follow a link to a booking partner you leave this site. From that moment their privacy policy applies rather than ours, and we do not receive personal data about your booking.
No third-party service loads before you consent. The cookie policy lists each one, what it stores and for how long.
Legal basis and retention
Analytics, the maps, the departure search and the partner link script are processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by selecting Cookie settings at the bottom of any page, which reopens the banner.
Server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in operating a secure and functioning website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Email correspondence is processed on the basis of legitimate interest in answering enquiries about this site.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
To exercise any of these, email info@ferrygogo.com.
Changes
If this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page.
